Count #'s

I am using Excel XP.
I have 6 columns and want to know how to count the number
of times a number, between 1 and 30, is listed. I want
to be able to see how many times each number has been
used.
How can this be done?

One way:

=COUNTIF(A:F,1)

to see how many 1's
