Cursor jumping randomly.

My cursor jumps around randomly when I am typing. I need to find a solution
to this issue. I am using Windows XP Professional.

Not exactly sure what you mean. The mouse cursor, or when you type the
letters get entered in random positions as you type? Doesn't matter,
though. Something is wrong, I guess. Something is inteferring with your
computer. Could be a computer virus or a bad keyboard or something like
that. Need to find what that interferrence is ... unlikely to be
Office-related.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

If you are using Office XP or 2003, do you have speech recognition turned
on? If yes, then your microphone is picking up random sounds and executing
the jumping. Try turning off your microphone.

I also find that random and sluggish motion is an indication that the
batteries in my cordless mouse are almost run down. The warning tends
to come annoyingly close to the end point.

This problem has many possible solutions with no guarantees any will
work

See this link -

Also, if you have Norton AntiVirus or Norton SystemWorks (2003 versions
or higher) installed, go into options for antivirus and turn off the
Office Plug In.

What seems to be happening to me is the cursor suddenly wants to be where the
I-Bar is located so I'll be typing along and wham! the cursor is suddenly
somewhere else (where the I-Bar is).

I wish there was I way I could be notified when you receive replies as I'd
really like to know how to fix this @#$%^ problem.
