custom animation on formatting toolbar

On my laptop on the formatting toolbar I have the options of transition,
custom animation, view show. However, on my desktop the formatting toolbar
does not show those options.

You can choose to add them on your own.
Go to View > Toolbars > Customize...
Click Commands Tab, then search for Slide Show under Categories.
Look into Commands for the Custom Animation, click and hold, then drag the
command to the formatting toolbar. Click close.
