Customise histograms in MS Project

Is it possible in MS Project 2003 to present a breakdown of the tasks that
resources are allocated to by month in the Resource Graph view (presentation
graphically in a stacked histogram). The default view shows overall
allocation and over-allocation by months but I am unsure how to present the
breakdown of this resource allocation data by month to show the actual tasks
that make up the allocation.

Perhaps I am oversimplifying your request but why not do a split window
with the Resource Usage view in the top pane and the Resource Graph in
the bottom? Set the timescale to be in months. Selecting any resource in
the upper pane will show the monthly allocation and overallocation for
that resource in the lower pane. The upper pane will show all the
assignments (tasks) for that resource.
