Date count back formula

Is there a formula that will allow me to count back from another task due
date. I have a number of task that need to be finish a certain number a days
before another one begins.

This can be accomplished with SF (start to finish) dependency and a lag. Link
the two tasks and then doubleclick on the resulting dependency line. Change
the type from FS to SF. Then change the lag to whatever number of days you
require. You can enter positive or negative lag.
