.dbx files

Hi there
I am praying somebody can help me.

I have a laptop at home with Windows XP - I've been
backing up regularly onto cd (i.e. Files on the computer
and emails). When I copied the emails onto cd, they saved
themselves as .dbx files. Anyway, my laptop crashed and I
inserted the recovery cd came with the laptop. This
recovery worked, but I lost everything.

I've managed to re-install / copy my files from cd back
onto the computer, but I can't copy my emails from cd into
Outlook express again.

Does anybody have any idea on what i can do as I am
desperate.

Many thanks

Sunshine -- look into a shareware program
called "dbxtract" or it's cousin "dbxpress" ($5); just
Google the name. I have used this to recover the
contents of a corrupted OE mailbox. It requires some
effort on your part, but it works!

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup and see http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
