Default screen colours

For some unknown reason my default screen colours have changed in publisher
inasmuch as the colour of the "page" is now cream and I do not have a white
in the colour charts, only cream. The only way I can change it back to
white is to go into the print settings and remove the check mark from
Improve screen and printer colour matching in Advance print settings. As
soon as I do that the default colour goes back to white. However if I do
not follow through and then print - i.e. cancel the print - it goes back to
cream. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that hasn't helped.
However if I open publisher from Publisher.pub rather than Publisher.exe I
do get a white page but unfortunately that changes back to cream as soon as
I open a new blank template.

Tools, options, General tab, clear Improve screen and printer matching. This is
assuming you have Publisher 2000.

That works nicely until I close Publisher. When I re-open it I'm back to
where I started and the check mark is back in the box! It doesn't want to
retain my settings. Why?

Are you changing both the Publisher Options and the Printer Options? Try a
detect and repair. Look for an update for your printer driver.
