default setting

Whenever I open Outlook it configures itself as the default email client.
After I close Outlook I change the default in programs back to Outlook
express just to have this repeat.
I don't want Outlook to be the default. How can I manage this?

Change it in Internet Explorer also. Both places.

I did.
In Outlook-options-other its not checked.
It's IE that I keep changing it to Outlook Express to no avail.
Is there another place to change in Outlook besides Outlook-options-other.
