disappearing file

Twice I've had a huge Publisher file disappear after saving it. The second
time, I backed it up to an outside disk. When I tried to open the back up,
Publisher opened the file but would not let me work on it. What is happening
to my saved files?

Copy the file back to your hard drive, when you save a file on a CD, it becomes
"read only."
