I see a few references to this in older posts, but I'd like a little
clarification if anyone could offer any!
When I opened Outlook this morning, my Franklin Covey add-in crashed, giving
me an Active X error. No big deal, I got past that, closed and re-opened OL,
and everything came up OK.
Except... my Shortcut pane has lost all of the customization I had done to
it (by dragging and dropping out of the other panes and organizing). I can
rebuild it OK, but would like to prevent it from happening again if possible.
One of the MVPs in an older post recommended backing up the XML doc that
contains this info. When I looked at that doc on my computer now that I'm
missing my shortcuts, it still appears (at least at first glance in the code)
to have all of my shortcut information in it.
Theoretically, if I restore that file from my nightly backup, should my
shortcuts re-appear? Or is there likely something corrupt in my application
or profile?
Thanks for any tips!
