Discussion in Groove 2007 - how to organize them ?

P

Patrick

Hi All,

I am an avid user of Groove 2007. I am missing a feature
in Groove- that is to have "folders" or some other way to structure
discussions in Groove for several concurrent projects.

Is there a way to do this ?

If not yet, is this feature planned and will e available soon ?

Thanks a lot

Patrick

In the discussion tool, you are able to define categories when you fill
in a new discussion entry. Then, you just need to use "Category" view in
the tool to have your discussions entries sorted by category.

Hope that helps....

Salut Fabrice,

thank you for your fast reply ! The odd thing is that I can not see a
category field when creating a new discussion. The on-board help describes
this also but I can't find the field anywhere.

I am using Groove 4.2.0.2623 on Win XP SP2. I am manager of the workspace.

Thanks a lot

Did you migrate from Groove Virtual Office to Groove 2007 ?
If yes, you have to check that you are currently working in a 2007
workspace (and not in a GVO3.1 migrated workspace)

To be sure, are you able to add tools in this workspace ?

Hello Patrick,
As fasr as I know, there is no standard way of doing this.

Options are:
1. Add more than one discussion tool to the workspace.
2. Change the design of the workspace's discussion tool to add this feature.

Gareth
