Displaying Tasks

I have the Task Pad showing next to my calendar. I have
the display settings set to tasks for the next seven days.

Works okay for the current day. If I change the calendar
to show March 1 - a date I know has tasks - those tasks do
not appear in the Task Pad. In fact, the tasks don't show
when I click on any future date.

Is there any way to see tasks for future dates next to the
calendar?
