Distributing linked graphics and DOC file

I have some very elementary Word users who need to distribute graphics files
along with their Word 2003 documents. The graphics files are inserted from a
Graphics subfolder using Insert>Picture>From File. The links break when the
graphics and DOC files are transferred to another computer.

What is the easiest way for them to be able to share files across computers?
I have been using a network server, but in some cases, they will need to
work on them without a network connection.

The easiest & most straightforward method is to not use the linking option
in the first place. It makes for a larger document file, but the embedded
images are stored in the file so they along with it.

In order to satisfy your last requirement - no network connection - using
links, the only option I know of is to copy the images to a folder, insert
the linked images from there & transfer the entire folder.
