Do I Need To Install Office 2000 SR 1a?

J

John E. Bousa

I am currently running Office XP.
When I check for Office Updates it indicates I need to install Office 2000
SR 1a.
The Office XP updates are current. Office XP is running fine.
Is there any need to install Office 2000 SR 1a?
Will it cause problems with my Office XP?
If I don't install it, is there a way to not have it show up on my Office
Updates?

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

If you have any MS Office family 2000 series
products listed in Add/Remove Programs in the
Windows Control panel then http://office.microsoft.com/officeupate
will continue to show any needed updates.

Office 2000 SR1a is a significant update and is
a requirement to add additional product fix/security
updates in the Office 2000 products. They are
separate from the Office XP updates.
