Document cannot be save in word 2000

Can anyone help me with this problem that occur when i
save a document:

"This is not a vaild file name"
"Try one or more of the following:"
"Check the path to make sure it was typed correctly"
"Select a file from the list of files and folders ()"

Be it a new document or existing document, i can't save at
all.

Are you trying to add "\" or "/" to the filename? If so, you can't because
Word is thinking it is suggesting a new folder. What exactly are some of
the filenames you are using that isn't working?
