Document is Locked...?

Help! I'm trying to do homework nd I cannot type anything and can click very
few items because the document is locked. What does this mean, and how do I
unlock it?

What happens if you select Activate Product from the Help menu?

Maybe the document is protected, from the Tools menu, select Unprotect.
