Dont waste your time posting, no one will respond

Look at the list, very few issues are getting responses,
this forum is a typical Microsoft waste of time.

I'm looking at the same list you are. Let's take a glance at any given day.
How about the 19th? There were 118 questions posted. Of those, 65 were
responded to. Not bad. 55%. Many of those not responded to were stated in
unclear terms or were questions that could have been answered on the user's
own by a fast search in the MS Knowledge Base. I think the help here isn't
bad at all, given that it's a free service. There are many knowledgeable
people about, and they do their best to respond in a timely and helpful
fashion. I, for one, appreciate the effort they put forth.

At times it seems that few people realize how peer-to-peer groups work.
Everyone who posts here does so on their own free time as a volunteer.
Accordingly, it makes no sense to demand or expect an answer within a
certain time frame, especially if the request does not even contain enough
information to permit accurate troubleshooting.

If everyone who posted a question also answered one at the same time--there
would be no unanswered posts.

I agree with you, Russ and James. Even though it is frustrating when you are
waiting for an answer, you couldn't possibly say something like what the
first guy said and be a frequent responder. If you want immediate answers,
try paying for technical support.

Hi - I beg to differ. There are many, many replies in here. You might want
to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather
than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to do nearly
everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea to do
before you post. The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com
and you can subscribe to as many groups as you like.
