duplicate messages

Each time I click "send/receive", the same two email
messages are sent to my inbox. If i clik three times,
the two messages will drop into my inbox for a total of
six messages!
Understand, i do not have "save messages on the server"
selected.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled outlook twice with to
no avail?
Suggestions?

Happens to me too. My ISP said it is poorly written spam
that fails to complete sending properly, so Outlook times
out without completing the task of downloading including
recognising what has already been downloaded and what has
not. Why can't Outlook ignore messages that do this and
instead move on to the next message?

I feel your pain. NOTHING I have tried solves this
problem!!

Lets give you an example, say you have three emails on the pop3 server but
the third email is stuck and will not download. Since all three emails need
to be downloaded for Outlook to send a message back to the server that all 3
emails were successfully received. If that 3rd emails never gets downloaded
you will just keep receiving the first two message over and over and over.
Try going to www.mail2web.com and logging into your mail account to see if
there is a stuck piece of email on the server.
