Duplicate row's formatting

S

Sam Weber

Greetings,

How would I go about duplicating a row's formatting so it
uses the exact same formatting in every other row in the
whole worksheet? Also, it *must* also be able to duplicate
conditional formatting.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

Try this.

one way is to first manually format for example row 1 = yellow, row 2 =
white , row 2 = yello... then select these 3 rows then copy then select
down 2 rows then right click > paste special > formatting. The it will
copy conditioanl formatting as well.

Left-click on the row number of a properly formatted row to highlight the
entire row..........then left-click on the little paint-brush icon up in the
toolbar (Format Painter).............then clft-click on whatever row number
you wish to format...........done

That did work, but I have conditional formatting that has
formatting specificly for that row. For example, on row 20
I have conditional formatting in column G that says 20. Is
there anyway to get it to copy the row number it's on and
use that number in conditional formatting instead of using
the number that was in the one I am copying?

Conditional Formatting, (for some reason) seems to assign Absolute cell
references to everything.........check your conditional format on your
properly formatted row and you will probably find something like $C$1, or
$G$21...........just change them to $C1, or $G21 respectively and it will
copy down with the rest of the row...........
