Duration task vs summary task

Hi Guys,

Using PS 2007, need your help.
In my project server, i already have project calendar which i already edited
with holidays. There is a new project..for task A start/finish i.e 1-10 feb
so duration is 10 days. But because in project calendar for Feb 5th is non
working day, so i set resource calendar for Feb 5th is working day.
But when i looked up in Gant Chart summary of that task is 9 days not 10 days.
when i looked in task usage view...for task A duration is 10 days but not
for summary. The summary show only 9 days.
I repeat...Task A is correct 10 days or 80 hours. But summary task is 9 days.
(wish you understand with my explanation)
what i want to ask..is it like that behaviour of MS Project....

I cannot duplicate what you are seeing. First of all, if the Start date of
a task is 2/1/2010 and its Finish date is 2/10/2010, then it has a Duration
of only 8 days because there are two weekend non-working days after the
first week. If you enter 2/5/2010 as a company holiday, the task Duration
remains at 8 days, but the task Finish date is one day later on 2/11/2010.
If you assign a resource to the task and you set 2/5/2010 as a working day
for the resource, the Duration remains at 8 days, but the Finish date
returns to 2/10/2010. When I look at the Task Usage view, the Duration is
also 8 days there. Hope this helps.
