E-mail mail merge with Publisher 2003?

I can use publisher templates to create very crisp HTML e-mail messages,
however, I cannot find a way to personalize these messages for my readers via
a mail merge feature for e-mail purposes. This can be completed for printed
media and hence I can only assume that it is possible for e-mail as well.
Please help.

I'm afraid that you assume incorrectly.

No currently-available version of Publisher supports merge to email.

I too am looking to send out an eNewsletter in Outlook using a Publisher
document and hoping to embed it in the email. I would like each recipient to
receive the eNewsletter as if I sent it only to them (not a mass distribution
list visible in the cc field). Is this yet possible? If not, will Publisher
be able to do this anytime soon?
Thanks,
Lisa

You tried the BCC field?

I do not want to use the bcc field b/c then it goes out as a mass
distribution. I am trying to send it out using mail merge (or something
similar) so that when people get it, it looks like it was only sent to them
with only their name in the "to" field. Is this possible yet? If not, is
Microsoft working on this?
Another question:
I have a 4-page newsletter created using a publisher template. Will all 4
pages show up as one continuous page in the email once I save it as an html
document?

When you use the bcc it does carry only the name of the individual it
arrives at. If you send a bcc message to Joe, Sue, Don and Ed via
bcc each will receive the same email and Joe will see only his name
on his mail, and the same for Sue, Don and Ed.

Actually, no one will see their name on the mail.

There are bulk mail packages available that will do this.

Email merge will be available in the next version of Publisher, according to
the Microsoft Publisher Weblog.

Don, can you tell me how you save a publisher template to a 44 inch html
document? Sorry, I am a newbie at this.
Thanks,
Lisa
