I don't think you can change the name of the fields. I am
running Project 2000 and I cannot change the name. I can
however change which field it is. I believe that project
is more or less a database and you can only choose which
fields you would like to use not create your own. I don't
think the field name should matter during an export as
much as the title would from my experience. so just to
review you could change the field name from say text1 to
number2 or whatever options there are but you can't rename
the fields only the titles. Hope this helps
