email files

What is the name of the file or folder that email
messages are stored in? also, do email messages have a
file extensions? I had to reinstall XP (repair). When I
did I lost all my emails and address book. I had copied
most of my drives content to another drive.unfortunately
not the WAB file...not sure why it didn't copy over. Not
sure where windows stores email files.

..PST is the extension of the file that stores your email
messages. .MSG is the extension of the email messages.
