Email Links on a page

Hello all,
I would like to know if there is a way to change the way
that email links function. My company uses Lotus Notes
as the primary email client, but some remote users may
use Outlook. Right now, when you click on a link to send
email Outlook Express opens, but since we don't use it
there is the setup process that you have to go through to
send messages. Is there a way to configure the link so
that it will open the default email client on the machine?

The email link *should* open the email client that is defined as the default
on the machine. Check the machines and make sure they are configured
properly.

By default email client I am assuming you mean the
selection that I make under the Tools menu for IE.
