Emailing successors when predecessors have been completed

Hello,

Does anyone know if (or how) project server will email a successor task's
resource when it's dedpendent predecessor task is completed?

For example, I have 2 tasks, task 1 assigned to resource 1, task 2 assigned
to resource 2 and task 2 has a predecessor dependency of task 1. When
resource 1 completes task 1, I need project server to send an
alert/notification email to resource 2 so that resource 2 knows to begin task
2.

Any help is much appreciated.

Brian --

I do not believe there is any default method in Project Server to make this
happen. On the Home page of PWA, team members can click the "Alert me about
my tasks and status reports" link to set up e-mail reminders about their
tasks. Team members could ask to be reminded one or two days before their
tasks are scheduled to begin, for example. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of this and looking for verification
from a respected member of the community. Looks like I'll be digging into
cusomization.
