it seems to me the MS would fix their stupid problem with
all the emails they're sending out, or at the very least
warning people that if they put their actual email
address on a message they'll get spammed for days on end.

don't feel bad i mad the same mistake. Not only is it spam most of the
attachments are viruses so do not open them. if you are using microsoft
outlook make a rule that any Mail with the word swen in the subject line
will be permanately deleted. that will take care of about 50 out of 60 of
them.
