I have Windows ME and Word 97 on my home computer. I have created several files in MS Word and many of them are empty after saving and attempts made in retreiving them. I can locate the file by its name using Windows Explorer and the file stats show it is not empty by its size, but when I open it, there is nothing in it, not one single character
I have attempted to open the files with WordPad and NotePad, but they also display nothing but an empty workspace
What can I do to retrieve the data in these files? And how can I prevent this from happening again
