Good morning,
I have been searching the internet high and wide trying
to find information on the following:
I have created a database whereby it will track student
information. I have a PERSON table that keeps all the
general information (Name, Address, Phone, Etc.). I also
have a form tied to this table.
I also have a NOTES table that ties back to the PERSON
table. The idea behind the notes section is that I would
like to be able to add notes to a particular record and
have each note be an individual record. IE: One record
would be, "Student was late" and a second record would
be, "Student had flat tire." Each note would happen on a
different day and therefore be it's own record. I have
the dates each new note is added and that works fine.
My dilema is this:
I am trying to make it so that when I call up a
particular student in a form, I would like to have a
command button that calls up the NOTES form and allows me
to enter a new note for the particular person in
question. For now, all I can seem to do is pull up all
the records for the person in question and then go to the
last entry, but the PERSON does not stay populated in the
notes section.
I hope this makes sense and does anyone know of any way
to do this or can they point me to somewhere I have not
been? As I mentioned earlier, I have searched the
internet and Microsoft help to no avail. I have always
had good luck with the news groups.
Please help and thanks,
