Entering Actuals

I have baselined my schedule and begun to enter actuals. I have a task that
was originally planned to take 8 hours to complete, but I actually completed
it in 4 hours. When I enter this value (in my case, in the Task Usage view),
the “% Complete†field only shows that the activity is 50% complete, even
though in reality, it is 100% complete. I know I can use the “Physical %
complete†column to track the actual percent complete, but I have experienced
issues with how this data rolls-up (I posted a separate issue regarding
this). The only way I can get the “% Complete†to accurately reflect the
work that I have completed is to alter the planned “work†field to mirror the
actual hours; using the example above, I have to change the planned “workâ€
value to 4 hours. Does anyone know of an alternate way to get the “%
Complete†column to reflect the actual percent complete without altering the
“work†value?
