Enterprise Deployment of 10.1.3 Update

Does anyone know how I would go about deploying the 10.1.3 update for Office
across my enterprise? I have net octopus installed on all of the client
computers but when I try to install the update it fails due to the user
interaction that is required. Is there a way around this? Is there another
method to the deployment of this update other then having all the users
install it? The users can not install the update because that do not have
admin access on the computers.

Hi James,

You could try installing it on a machine and track the files that get
modified, then upload these files to al lthe machines that need to be
updated. That sounds a bit tedious to me though :-\ (hopefully the
updater creates a log you can use in this regard).

Hi James!

I think Corentin's suggestion is pretty much on track. If you don't want to
figure out what's changed, then you could also replace the entire Office X
folder. The activation key is kept outside of this folder, so you wouldn't
have to worry about losing each machine's Office X serial number.

Hope this helps! bill

Well, there are two files:

/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Officepid
(it's an invisible file)

and
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Settings (10)
which contains other preferences as well
