Enterprise Duration Field

Is it possible for a custom enterprise duration (task) field to act
like a remaining work standard field? I recently created an enterprise
duration (task) field to calculate [Baseline Work - Actual Work].
Unfortunately, the values only populate at the task level when in the
Task Usage View. Is there any way to have those values populate
simultaneously at the resource level in the same view, much like the
Remaining Work column works? Is there an option to roll up from the
resource level to the task level? The goal is to be able to look at
one view, the Task Usage view, and see the custom calculated field
generated with values at both the task and resource levels within that
view.

I tried creating an additional enterprise duration (resource) field as
well as an (assignment) field, but neither of those seemed to help.

Please advise as to some possible solutions, if any.

Thanks!

There are Task.DurationN Resource.DurationN and Assignment.DurationN fields.
As your one only works in a usage view, I suspect you have an Assignment
one. For resources use a resource version, for tasks use a Task version.
