Entourage doesn't respect previously tagged messages

G

GCoyne

Version: 2008 There are messages that I've tagged as "Not Junk" that repeatedly get re-tossed in the junk filter and vise versa. I've had mail that I sent out (that included myself as a recipient) that therefore came to me but it's repeatedly being tossed in the Junk folders. People who've I've already placed in my Address Book are tossed in the Junk folder.

FWIW, it's often the same messages that I find are showing up in the junk folder but I can go for days with them not being re-found in the junk folder and then for several days they will be there for me to re-un-junk them.

This is beyond tedious and I'm past being sick and annoyed of recovering mail that I do not want to toss and should not have to re-re-re-re-un-junk.

Suggestions gladly accepted!

Thanks.

You have a rule that is doing this, otherwise, Entourage would flag
messages as "junk" only when you receive them. I suggest you uncheck all
rules under Tools --> Rules... to see if this behavior stops. If it does
then re-enable one at a time until you find the problem.

Hope this helps!
