I have a user that can no longer edit word or excel documents in
PWA/SharePoint, a message appears that they don't have a compatible
application installed and that the Internet explorer version is below 5.0. I
have verified that they have Excel and Internet 6.0 and ruled out virus and
spyware. I found that if I deleted the two ActiveX objects out of Internet
explorer and reinstalled them the user can edit documents but as soon as they
close PWA and go back in it no longer works. I have applied all current SP's
to Project and SharePoint. I have had thiws happen once in the past and
deleted the users profile on the PC but I would like to avoid deleting the
whole profile of this user does anyone have a easier fix or know what part of
the users profile is effected by PWA/SharePoint?
