Error uploading account

Carlo

Hi,

I tried uploading 2 different groove accounts from 2 different computers but
received the above message stating that I may have an internet connetivity
issue. I am trying to backup my Groove account so that I can access it from
multiple computers.

I am able to download the account but not update it.

I can access this:

http://gms.groove.net/gms.dll

Hi Carlo,

There is an alternative way to get your account on another computer.
Just create a backup of your account on PC1 (options / properties /
account / save account as file) and inject it on your PC2.

In case you intend to inject it on a 3rd PC, make a new backup of your
account once injected on PC2. If not, PC2 and PC3 will not "know" each
other.

To troubleshoot connectivity issues with Groove, please check the
following :
- are other Groove users in your local area network having this problem
as well? If so, it might be an issue with your company's firewall or
proxy settings.
- is Internet Explorer properly configured to access the Internet?
(Groove uses IE settings)
- is Groove currently in "work offline" mode? (Sounds stupid, but worth
to double check...)
- do you receive Groove instant messages from users via Internet?
- are instant messages to external users sent? Or are they still
"waiting to send"?
- what happens if you temporarilly disable your personal firewall(s)?
- same for Antivirus software. Note that some antivirus software, like
NOD32, require you to add Groove.exe to the list of exceptions.

By the URL you provided (gms.groove.net/gms.dll) I understand that you
are currently using Groove 3.1.
Please note that Groove 3.1 has some difficulties with scripts for proxies.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Jan
