This is a strange question, as it does not affect the functionality of the
product, however, it is driving us nuts (the small things seem to do that).
When you have created your project plan and have a subtask associated with a
task, you get the nice little + and - sign next to the task to indicate a
subtask exists and the state it is in.
Now the nuance. The + and - sign appear next to the task, however, on other
computers, this sign is surrounded by a square border. A rough ascii example:

Sub Task
On 2/4 boxes, this is how it appears. However on the other installs, same
disk, same OS, the square border does not appear around the + and -
signs...so it looks like this:
