Exporting to Powerpoint with automatic updates

Nicole

I know how to copy into powerpoint either using Wizard or copy picture,
however is there any way to paste into Powerpoint and have it automatically
update the link?

I use this functionality on Excel and when I open the powerpoint file, it
updates the link saving me from having to paste again.

Is this possible with MSP when essentially all you are doing is taking a
picture?

Hi Nicole,

Because there is no link between the Project and the picture,
linking to the picture wouldn't really help. You'll need to
recreate the picture and update the information manually.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

One suggestion: In powerpoint, insert a Link to a picture file (e.g.,
schedule.png). You have to make sure you transport schedule.png in
addition to the .ppt (much like you have to do for linked movie
files). I believe Powerpoint will keep the crop/size information
intact. You will have to manually create this file for each update --
always save to the same name (overwrite it). (I copy to the clipboard
from PP and use an image viewer to save to a file.)

Potentially a VB macro can create the file, but that's beyond me, so
I'm not sure.
