Extensions in directory parallel to root content directory of the website?

Dirk Hartung

Hi all,

we are trying to create the front page server extensions in a
directory parallel to the root content directory of the website. The
server extensions gets configured, but when we try to use Front Page
to edit the content of the domain which is internally forwarded to the
'parallel' directory – Front page give error and is not able to open
the site.
Is it possible to configure Server Extensions in a directory parallel
to the root directory and then use frontpage to publish/ change
content? How do we do that?

Most of the articles we found mentioned that only one root web can
exist and that we will be the same as that of the content directory of
the website. The sub webs can be created but they can only be created
under the root webs and not at the parallel directories – Is there a
any way in which we can create two root webs or can only create sub
webs and no root webs?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dirk
