External File storage and moving templates

I've got a template file that uses an external XML file for drop-downs.
The problem is that I need the ability to move the template and
storage file to several different locations on the network and even
transfer the template and external storage file to an offline machine.


What do I need to do in order to accomplish this, or can't this be done
with InfoPath?
