Extract information from Report into a graph/chart

I have 2 reports that i would like to have as graphs/pie charts

The first is i would like to see what the most popular day of the week for
breakdowns is, i have a query which when put into a report grouped by day, i
calculate the total records. how can i use this information to form a graph?

The second is i have a report grouped by engineer and it has parameters to
select the date range. In the group footer this calculates the percentage of
jobs each one did. (total records/total individual records). I would like to
be able to extract the infomation into a pie chart so that for each date
range specified, you can clearly see who attended the most jobs.

Any help will be much appreciated.

It is impossible to read it from a report. You must use the data in the
underlying query for the chart.

so the query i made the report from, i must use this to make the chart?

when i try to create a chart from that query, i dont have a query field that
has the total records in the query. how would i go about creating that?

Here's one method that you could use.

Use a form to open the report. In that form build a recordset based on the
query and do a recordcount, saving the subsequent value to a textbox. When
the report opens, fill a textbox on the report with the value in the form.
