Filter at Work level

Steve Scott

I can use filters to detremine when tasks start or finish but can I delve
deeper to filter out when the actual work begins or finishes within the task
ie fixed duration tasks??

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,

Try out these steps.
1. Project- Filter- More Filters.
2. Select task and click on new
3. Give a relevant name to the filter
4. Click on the field name and from the drop down select actual start.
In test column select "not equal to"
In the value column type NA
5. Go to the next row, In the and or select and
6. In the filed name select type
In the test column select equals
In the value select fixed duration
7.Click Ok

Once you apply this filter it will give you a list of task which have
started and have task type as fixed duration.
Tel me if it helps

Thanks and Regards,

Sorry I think I asked the wrong question.

All my tasks are fixed duration and in most cases the work is schedulled to
commence after the forecast start date..how do I obtain the date of the
beginning of the actual work?

The actual start date will give you the date of begining of actual work.
The forecast dates can be saved as the baseline date so as to know the
variance betweeen actual and planned.

Manmeet
