Filtering in Excel 2002

I'm a new excel user and need to create a document and
apply filters. For example I will have a spreadhseet of
tasks, assigned to different people and would like
to "filter the list by person". Can anyone help? I have
check the help text and find it useless.

You can use an AutoFilter. There are instructions in Excel's Help files,
