Find Blank line at end of cell

When I change a block of text into a table or paste rows of text into a
table cell, Word often puts a blank row at the end of each cell of text. In
normal text, I can eliminate a blank row by putting ^p^p into the Find box
and ^p into the Replace box. But that doesn't work in a table. If I select
the last paragraph mark in the cell and press Delete, I can delete this
manually but how can I delete it using Find/Replace or VBA?
