Finish Date for a task with a predecessor dependancy not changing.

Hi!
Would appreciate any help in this area.

I have a task B that has already started with the below Start and Finish
dates. Its a Fixed work task.

Task B Start 05/05/06 Finish 07/28/06

I also have Task A that has also started and the dates are below.


Task A Start 05/05/06 Finish 08/16/06

I make TaskA as Predecessor to Task B with a Finish to Finish with 10 days
lag.

I was hoping for the Finish date for Task B to change to something like
08/31/06 - 10 days after 08/16/06. Task B still has 07/28/06 as the Finish
Date.

I expected the duration to change as it is Fixed hours and the units to
decrease.

I am on Project 2000.

Please tell me why this is not happening.

Don't put a start and finish date for Task B just make it dependant on task A
with your lag and it should push it's completetion date to where you want it
to be.
