I recently upgraded from XP to Office 2003. I have found that I no longer
have some fonts from Publisher 2000 in my new Publisher 2003. How can I
recover these fonts, they are used in my business and are not easily
replaced. Thanks on advance for help.

I checked the MS site and it said that these fonts did not come in Publisher
2003; Tempus Sans ITC, Californian FB and Poor Richard. I will check the
font manager; but suspect I will not find them since the MS site says they
are not included. I have looked on google for free downloads but have not
found them. I would thinnk MS would never delete any fonts in a upgrade. I
seem to have choosen the few fonts that hey seemed to delete on the new
Publisher 03. Thanks for any other help / ideas.

Hi Dave,

None of the fonts you listed shipped in Office/Publisher
2000. http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/
Installing a new or upgrade of Office on the same computer would
not have removed those fonts.

If this is on the same computer as your prior version
it may that you need to select a printer driver that
will support Truetype fonts in File=>Print.

If it's a different computer you'll need to recover the
..TTF files for those fonts from that PC to install on the
new computer.

Thanks Bob - I now think I know what happened. My computer had issues and
was sent to HP. They sent it back wiped and I installed '03 w/o reinstalling
XP first. After installing '03 I reinstalled all of my files. That seems like
it is the missing link here. So I do not have another computer with XP and i
think going back and reinstalling XP then reinstalling '03 is a recipe for
some sort of failure. I suspect there is a way I could get the 3 fonts i
need from MS or some other source easily for free? Let me know if you have
any suggestions. THanks
