Forms not opening

I have a few Access97 databases. Of the lot, there is one
database in which i cannot open the forms or the report.
The queries open fine as do the tables. Trying to open a
form or report in either design or runtime view does not
work. I do not receive any error message. Nothing happens.
This only happens in two database out of the 40 that we
have

Any ideas would really be appreciated.

Try creating a new database and importing the objects from the bad ones and
see if that works. If so, then there is something corrupted in the current
ones. If you haven't done a Repair and a Compact lately (they are separate
items in Access 97), you may want to try that also. Make a backup copy of
your file first, just to be safe.

When trying to import the items that are not opening i get
an Automation Error. I have tried a compact and a repair
and it makes no difference.

In that case, it definitely sounds as if the file is corrupted. One last
thing to check first though, is there any chance that someone may have
opened the file in a newer version of Access and updated it?

Of course, the easiest option may be to restore from your backup.
