Forms

Hi,

I've created a form in Word 2003 and wonder if there is an easy way (for a
novice) to write a macro that would capture data input from one field and put
it into another. The form I've made is one that is locked and people tab from
one form field to another. I'd like to be able to grab information, for
example, their name and have it show up on another page of the document. Is
this possible?

Thanks,

JoAnne Sim

thanks for the quick response. Holy cow - looks complicated - I'll give it a
try and let you know how it works. Just from your experience, is what I'm
trying to do difficult for somone who's never done programming before? I've
been able to create a similar type thing in WordPerfect, but didn't have to
go though all these hoops. I need to create one in word now, and what you
sent to me kind of scares me.

Hi JoAnne,

It really isn't as bad as it looks.

Greg's page shows five different ways of repeating data. The only one you
need to consider, since you already have a locked form, is #2 ("On Line
Form"). Within that, you only need paragraphs c, d, and e because you've
already done a and b, and f is optional.

The nice thing about this method is that it doesn't need any programming.
