Help! After saving a page to a remote server, I go back
and try to open it for editing and Frontpage say's "The
file is not in the current web" However it can be seen on
my browser and I log on to my server and again it's
there. I can edit locally and upload fine but the repeat
of above happens again. Other pages work fine.

Explain "saving a page to a remote server"
Did you have a FP web on the server open and was the page in the FP web
If not, open your web/site on the remote server in FP and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

Thanks for helping. Please excuse my ignorance. I've been
playing around for years and not much closer to getting
it.
First..I've never understood is a web server the same as
a directory?
second...This is what happened simply. I had a web page
open in FP I decided to use the general theme to create
another page so I "saved as" another name and began to
edit. Once completed I hit the "save" icon which saved it
to the server. All my other pages will open in FP except
this new page. It is there however, FP just doesn't see
it. I hope this makes sense.
