Google videos in powerpoint

How can I get a google video to work in a powerpoint show? When I try to
insert the file, I get a message saying that it can't be opened. I assume it
has to do with the player.

Thanks for your response.

I converted it to a video file but I still get the message that codec(s) are
missing. I don't have any idea which "codec" might be missing. As you can
tell I have never done this before. Do you know how I would determine that?
I went to the web site recommended in Microsoft but don't understand how to
proceed.

You'll probably have to convert it to a format PPT recognizes (MPEG, AVI,
WMV).

What kind of video did you convert it to, and how?

As Echo asks How? Its not that easy to convert gvi files. Assuming that
copyright isnt being broken and its small enough to email I may be able to
help.
