GPFs in Word 2000

I am working with two problems in Word 2000. One is for a friend that when
you open Word it stays open for about 3-5 seconds and then crashes. He has
the Small Business Edition Office 2000. I have tried the repair option as
well as uninstall and reinstall option without success. Any suggestions here?

The second one has to do with opening Word 2000. It works fine until I try
to go to tools. As soon as I do this it crashes. Any suggestions here?
