Help saving file to cd

I've been trying to save a file to my CD-RW drive (my E: drive). Every time I try to do this I get an error stating that I "don't have access to the folder E:\. See your system administrator for access to this folder." Problem is, I'm at home...not networked. I don't have a system administrator. Just me. I haven't a clue how to change this so that I have the ability to save at this drive.

DON'T do this! Save to the hard drive and copy to CD using Windows Explorer.
Saving to removable media is the major cause of document corruption.
